Dynamic Bidding

Dynamic bidding lets Amazon raise or lower your bid in real time based on conversion likelihood: down-only, up-and-down, or fixed.

Amazon PPC Glossary

Dynamic bidding is Amazon's real-time bid adjustment on Sponsored Products. Three strategies:

Down only: Amazon lowers your bid (up to 100%) in auctions it predicts are unlikely to convert. The safe default.

Up and down: Amazon may also raise your bid — up to +100% for top-of-search, +50% elsewhere — when conversion looks likely. More volume, more variance; only worthwhile once a campaign is profitably converting.

Fixed: your bid is your bid. Useful for visibility-first campaigns where you want impressions regardless of Amazon's conversion predictions.

Dynamic bidding stacks with placement boosts, so an aggressive combination can multiply your effective bid several times over — know your stack before raising anything.
